Belmont Fire Academy

Belmont SFFMA Firefighter Academy

We are pleased to announce that the Belmont Volunteer Fire Department officially launched the Belmont Fire Academy in partnership with TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service) in February 2021.

10 Belmont Volunteer Fire Department SFFMA members have officially signed up for the Academy.

The Academy is held in Belmont, TX. It will allow BVFD’s members to go through a structured training course (Firefighter I and Firefighter II) with the goal of becoming certified firefighters through the Texas State Firefighters and Fire Marshalls Association upon successfully completing required training objectives, and passing both skill based and knowledge based training exams.

Successfully completing the training program will provide the local community with volunteer firefighters that meet the objectives of the state certification program.

These volunteers dedicate their time and efforts toward reaching this goal for the benefit of the community and its residents.
