About the Belmont Fire Academy
The Belmont Volunteer Fire Department launched in February 2021 the Belmont Fire Academy in partnership with TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service).
10 Belmont Volunteer Fire Department SFFMA members have officially signed up for the Academy.
The Belmont Fire Academy enables motivated BVFD members to go through a structured training course (Firefighter I and Firefighter II) with the goal of becoming certified firefighters through the Texas State Firefighters and Fire Marshalls Association upon successfully completing required training objectives, and passing both skill based and knowledge based training exams.
Successfully completing the training program provides the local community with volunteer firefighters that meet the objectives of the state certification program.
The enrolled volunteers dedicate their time and efforts toward reaching this goal for the benefit of the community and its residents.
