Announcing the Belmont SFFMA Fire Academy

We are pleased to announce that the Belmont Volunteer Fire Department officially launched the Belmont Fire Academy in partnership with TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service) in February 2021. 10 Belmont Volunteer Fire Department SFFMA members have officially signed up for the Academy.

Throughout 2021, instructor and firefighter Kent Pruett will be instructing the volunteer firefighters who have enrolled. All members enrolled in the Academy aim to acquire their certification for both Firefighter Level I and Firefighter Level II by the end of the year.
